My name is Betty and I have been training women and girls of all ages and levels in boxing for over 16 years. My training started at the Teofista Boxing Stables in Calgary. My passion for boxing is why I started Ringside Womens Fitness here in Airdrie.
What motivated me to teach womens boxing classes?
Boxing has been concidered a mans sport for many years which has also made the boxing gyms an intimidating place for women to enter. For most of us the word BOXING is followed with the understanding that we need to fight. NOT TRUE!!! Some of us will take the path to become fighters and others want to punch with out getting punched. Boxing benifits womens health by building muscle and great for cardio conditioning. Boxing is also a great way to work off stress and helps keep our brain sharp.
My classes are for women of all ages and fitness levels. Whether you are a teen, a mom with kids, an empty nester or retired these classes were designed with you in mind. My program will teach proper punching to avoid injury. Boxing is a full body workout as well as cardio which you will get using heavy bags and punch pads. It’s very impotant to me that each person feels comfortable, excepted and to help build your confidence. I’m there to help every step of the way.
