How to choose the right boxing gloves???

Size? Colour? Brand? Weight? Sparring, bag or training glove?

First lets start with gloves and what they will be used for? In my classes we do a lot of bag and pad work so I recommend gloves that are used for bag and training. When it comes to brand, colour and cost that is your personal choice. My favourite brand is Rival. Quality and pricing is good and ships with in Canada.

How to find the right size? Measure your hand circumference in inches. Next go to the size chart. See below

My hand measures 7.5 inches and my weight is 140 lbs. I picked the 14 oz (Large)gloves. I could have picked the 12 oz (medium)but wanted a bit more weight for my work outs. Some gloves also come in a extra small, medium, large and extra large.

Keep in mind different brands of gloves will fit differently. It’s always best if you can try on the gloves.
